Michael was born August 18, 1976 in Compton, California. Playing all sports growing up, Michael understood the importance
of hardwork and dedication being the key to success on the playing fields. His passion for the game of basketball allowed
him to make a concentrated effort to focus on his skill development for the future. Michael believes that too many players
play the game for immediate success and do not look for the long term benefits of developing their skills.
A 1994 graduate of Westview High School, Michael still holds the school’s scoring record and rebounding records despite
playing primarily as 1,2 combo guard. After graduating as one of the top ranked players nationally for his class by several
respected recruiting sources Michael began his collegiate career at Div1 UNR hoping to be a major difference in transforming
a mid major to a national powerhouse. The next four years would see Michael transfer twice to GCU & CU twice being named
as an all conference performer. Following his collegiate success, Michael attended various NBA camps and received opportunities
with the Portland Trailblazers and Seattle Supersonics. Realizing that the NBA was a long shot, Michael went to Europe where
he played professionally. Michael was named FIBA newcomer of the year in his rookie season and received All League honors
in four of his six professional seasons. His overseas travel took him to Italy, Australia, Iceland, Denmark and England where
he coached and trained members of the country’s junior national teams.
Michael has spent many hours developing a player development program that will help any player see improvement in their
overall game. Michael’s intensity and passion for the game of basketball is second to none and is evident in every training
session he does.
